new year’s eve | reflecting on my year

As I end almost another decade of my life, I have so much to be thankful for. With each year I gain more insight & wisdom. This new year’s eve I’m reflecting on my year and looking forward to 2015.

Right out of the shoot in early January, all was going good. I started my youtube show and building our home in Colorado when I go the scare of my life. Three tumors or nodules were discovered on my thyroid from and MRI that I had done for some other neck issues. After going to the best doctors in the world, MD Anderson Cancer Center right her in my back door, my fears were diminished as I was educated on common thyroid issues. NO CANCER was the greatest news.!! I am still under the watchful eye of my doctors as they give me great confidence in any outcome. I will be blogging about this later this coming year, so you too can follow my journey and maybe educate yourself on the thyroid.

I wanted to learn more about social media this year, so my 20 year old grandson, Carson, suggested I do a you tube show. After about 5 months of videos, I was told I should do a blog. What?????….what is a blog????……..another huge learning curve. It started with Instagram in May, then a website in July. In August, I officially started my Fashion & Lifestyle blog. After several hours of instruction from my grandson and my marketing firm “A Brand Stategy”, I can actually do my own posts with photos all by myself.

Well, I love fashion & love to write, share & take photos. To be a great blogger, photos must be original & of good quality, hence led me to next invest in a DSLR camera & start learning how to use it, which is a whole other aspect of this business of blogging. Yes, like me, you thought blogging was easy…….well…..I can tell you that it is very busy & time consuming an a lot to learn if you are over 30 years old. The camera ….. will be yet another blog this year.

In between my new found love of blogging, I still found time to finish our vacation home in Colorado, which I will also be sharing with you later this year as each room is completely decorated. So as you might understand by now, blogging is not just about my love of fashion but sharing what I know and have experienced in many areas of life.

The rest of my year has been spent with friends & family sharing life treasures such as birthdays, births, graduations, marriages and more.

I actually stuck to my 2014 New Year’s Eve resolutions this year & even more. It gives me great pleasure to remember , be grateful & reflect and then to look forward to another amazing year in 2015. With God’s help I will keep on going. I have so many more things in life that I want to do and share with you. Do follow along and enjoy what is to follow.

May God Bless you with good health, much love and prosperity in 2015.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
