MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Here we are again at Christmas time. Norman and I are in Tennessee again this year but no white Christmas like last year. It is still so nice to be with my sisters and their families. Today just a little update and my annual Christmas message.
UPDATE
Our home in Houston is unlivable due to strong paint fumes and we had another water leak last week in a different upstairs bathroom that came down over my kitchen island. Not kidding!!! That being said we are glad to be in a loving, cozy setting on Lake Tellico located just south of Knoxville/Maryville, TN in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains. We are definitely catching up on much-needed rest.
We plan to be home in Houston for the new year if the fumes dissipate. Every day is a new day in our world, but even with all the stresses and inconveniences, there are silver linings. I just try to focus on the positives.

FAMILY
Thankfully, we are all good! Yes! A new little arrived to Clayton and Gabrielle (Suzanne’s son and daughter-in-law) giving us 2 great-grandchildren. New life is so beautiful!
We did a lot of Texas Longhorn football this year and are so excited that they are playing in the National Championship playoffs on New Year’s Day. HOOK ‘EM HORNS!! MY Tennessee Vols were 8-4 this year and will be playing at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, also on New Year’s Day. Norman and I will be at home (hopefully) belly up to the TV eating black-eyed peas cheering on our teams.

Now, the main reason for this message…..
This is the time of year for gatherings of friends and families. It is a time of giving! Much of the world is in unrest, and our heartfelt prayers go out to all who are hurting. As a Christian, my family takes time first, and foremost to remember the birth of Jesus Christ, son of God. Whatever your beliefs are, most of us have one commonality, and that is peace and goodwill to all.
