This time of year is a great time to recreate your wardrobe in order to transition into spring. I love talking about leather and lace as I have done in previous blog posts. It is really a very good description of mixing the high and the low or the masculine with the feminine making very interesting looks.

As we wind down the winter season and many of you are already anxious about the arrival of spring, we look at ways to brighten up our outfits without compromising comfort in still cool or even cold temperatures. A great way is to add a leather jacket over a lace or lighter weight dress and then pop a bright color with a shoe or a handbag as I have done here. Typically this bag would only be carried in spring and summer months, but by mixing all of of the other elements of texture then it begins to work.

Take a look into your wardrobe and look at ways to mix textures whether it is leather, lace, fur, chiffon, tulle, suede, satin, etc, ect, then look at your bags and shoes that might seem too summery and mix it in to the look. Voila, insta new transitional look!

So let’s talk neutral suede shoes and booties. They go great with everything and here again don’t think that suede is a winter fabric. This spring look to see suede everywhere, but in lighter more neutral and pastel colors. I am working on bringing you a variety of suede sandals, booties, and flats in a future story.

Ok, let’s summarize the details of this outfit. There are several trends going on here. Can you name them before I tell you? Transitioning into spring has never been easier. What can you do to rework your wardrobe to brighten your day? I would love to know what you are thinking about in the comments. Just click on the little icon at the top of this post. Think about it for just a minute……..
