Could we really be having cold enough weather to wear our moto jackets and scarves? I am in shock!! Living in Houston, we just don’t have many of these days. I love living in Houston, but the down side is that I rarely get to wear winter clothes and I love fall/winter clothes.
Anyway, I have loved wearing a moto/biker jacket for years and this year I decided to invest in a new one. While I was doing my own research I decided that maybe you guys might like to see some great leather and faux leather jackets that I came across. Today we have selected 25 really great jackets in many price ranges and some are on sale.
4 Ways to Wear a Moto Jacket
- Wear it with a pair of flare legged layered over a shirt worn tucked in with a belt or left out like I have done here.
- Try your jacket with a long or short lace skirt. Mixing textures is always interesting. A velvet or tweed skirt would be great as well.
- Throw your leather moto jacket over a strappy summer dress. Check out this post where I wore it over a floral sundress ad this post worn with a leopard skirt and top.
- Don’t be afraid to work a little edginess into a cocktail or evening look wearing a leather jacket over a sequin shift dress, a lace dress, or even chiffon. It is all about the contrast of the high & low. It is stepping out of the box, but it works!! Have a little fun!!

I wanted to invest in a really nice moto jacket and decided on this Rag & Bone burgundy color. It is now on sale for 50% off. If it is still a little pricey for your budget then I found this one and this one that is similar in style and color for less. I have and old black one that still looks pretty good, so I opted for a little color.
A great flared leg jean can give you an elongated look if the legs are fitted and tapered at the top and flares below the knee. The best contemporary line that does it best is this pair by Frame. They are 20% off now at Neiman Marcus during their friends and family sale. For under $120 then these Mavi dark denim are great!
One of my favorite shirt companies for fit, style and comfort is by Foxcroft. I have worn this brand in this post and this post. This particular shirt sold out in this style, but there is a cute dress in the same fabric that could be worn as a dress or as a tunic over leggings or skinny jeans.
You have seen me style my reversible Little Santa Monica Hammit c/o bag a couple of times before, but because it is such a great bag, it gets major attention in my wardrobe.
Right now my favorite brand for hats Eugenia Kim. I wear a lot of hats and my black fedora from last year got crushed, so I decided to splurge a little bit for this one.
My booties are from past seasons but any black bootie with at least a 3 inch heel would work with these jeans. I especially like this pair that I was thinking about adding to my shoe wardrobe. It is under $100 and comes in 9 colors. Yasss!! Now which color??
And then we have these great Cat Eye sunnies by Celine. You don’t have to have these, but just find an oversized black pair and then you will be stylin’!!
A great pair of hoops is always a statement and a must have in your jewelry box. These large gold hoops by Moon & Lola are awesome.
