October Game Day in Knoxville | Rocky Top & Family Traditions

Early October took us to Knoxville, Tennessee for an unforgettable Saturday on Rocky Top! There is nothing quite like game day Saturdays in East Tennessee, the atmosphere, the sea of orange, stadium hot dogs, and seeing familiar faces make it so special.

The funniest part of the day? The Tennessee Volunteers were playing my husband’s alma mater, the University of Texas! So no matter who took home the win, someone in our house was going home happy. Even though the final score didn’t go the way my Vols wanted, the day was a total win filled with sunshine and laughter.

There’s something truly magical about October in Tennessee. The crisp mountain air, the smell of fall leaves, and the vibrant shades of amber and gold make it one of my absolute favorite places to be in October.

For a cozy day spent outdoors surrounded by pumpkins and fall greenery, I pulled together my signature autumn look: classic denim, cozy plaid layers, a touch of suede, and my beloved vintage gold boots. To top off an incredible month, October tropical getaway to Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico! Staying at the breathtaking Casa De Surfo alongside sweet friends like Shauna (@chicover50) and Nina (@ninaornstein) was the ultimate treat.

Our getaway was packed with wellness, delicious food, relaxing ocean breezes, and unforgettable sunsets. We started our mornings with mindfulness and movement, connecting through Spirit Sweat sessions led by Kelsi (@kelsik_spiritsweatlife) and deepening our wellness practice with Amalia (@amaliamarialee). It was such a beautiful reminder that taking care of ourselves isn’t just about fitness, it’s about how we feel on the inside and surrounding ourselves with uplifting community.
