Can you believe it’s already time to plan for New Year’s Eve? Where has 2023 gone?! I love this time of year because I dust off my plaid, velvet, satin, lamé sequins, and tulle to create my holiday outfits for the season. Even if I don’t have a place to go, I will still play dress-up and saché around the house pretending. This all being said let’s talk about 6 ways to create your Holiday and New Years Eve look.

HOW TO CREATE YOUR NEW YEARS EVE LOOK
1. TEXTURE
Think about velvets, faux leather, satin, lamé, sequins, suedes, leathers, furs and don’t forget the tulle! Be BOLD and mix and match your textures, too – take these red faux leather pants and pair them with this fun sequin button front shirt available in teal, espresso, and black.
2. SCARVES, WRAPS, + FAUX FUR
A great cashmere black large scarf or wrap has elevated so many of my holiday looks. I love this faux fur collar or this sequin fringe capelet that will be in your closet for years to come. Perfect to layer over just about any look this New Years Eve.
3. JEWELRY
Sparkly jewelry like this Chico’s rhinestone hinge cuff and this beaded statement necklace make wonderful additions to your holiday look. I am a fan of wearing rhinestones and sequins year-round, but if you’re not, at least stretch out of your comfort zone this New Year’s Eve with some sparkly jewelry!
4. FESTIVE SHOES, BOOTS & BOOTIES
I’m done with 4″ heels for the most part, so a few that I linked are like 2 or 3 inchers, but still so so chic and festive. I love fun footwear options like these black kitten heel dot mesh pumps from Talbot’s or sequin textures like these Chico’s suede trim rhinestone loafers.
5. HAIR ACCESSORIES
Since we have already mentioned jewelry, then how about hair accessories. I have been obsessing over these oversized fuzzy headbands this year and this Chico’s embellished faux fur beret. This rhinestone bow headband would make the most beautiful addition to your New Years Eve look, too. I am wearing this rhinestone headband in all the photos in this blog.
6. MAKEUP
Did you ever think about your makeup being part of your New Years Eve look? Well, yes it should be, so here are ideas. I love a true red lip if it goes with my outfit and this Big Money Red Modern Classic Cream Lipstick is one of the best true reds out there. If you are a neutral girl, then the Italian Marble Lipstick in Berry Banana or Peach Bellini are all the rage. Their neutral tones blend with any color you are wearing. Don’t forget your lip gloss for that extra shimmer and shine!
Shine bright on this New Years Eve!
