Hello ladies! Are you one of those people who loves those incredible kitchen smells for brunch on a Christmas morning?
We’ve gathered the most iconic Christmas morning brunch or breakfast brunch recipes 2025 to ensure your holiday is high on flavor and zero on stress. This year, my menu is extra special because it’s a bridge between the past and the present.
Some of these recipes come straight from my absolute favorite cookbook of all time, a gem from 1977 that I’ve used faithfully since the year I graduated from college. It was published by a group of school teachers, and their “no-fail” secrets have never let me down! I’m also sharing a piece of my heart with a recipe from my mother’s collection. My mom gave me her personal Egg Casserole Brunch Recipe, and it has become the gold standard for our traditional holiday brunch.
No tinsel, no tangled lights, just incredible food and the best company. So, keep those pajamas on, pour another cup of coffee, and let’s make this the most delicious December 25th yet!
Sheshe’s Favorite Brunch Recipes
Watergate Salad Brunch Recipe
- 1 Large Can Crushed Pineapple, undrained
- 1 Large Bowl Cool Whip
- 2 Cups Miniature Marshmallows
- ½ Cup Shredded Coconut
- ½ Cup Chopped Pecans or Black Walnuts
- 1 Pkg. of Instant Pistachio Pudding
Instructions:
Mix pudding and Pineapple together. Add remaining ingredients. Chill.
Other Variation
- 1 (9oz.) Container Cool Whip
- 1 Small PAck Instant Pistachio Pudding
- 1 Large Can Crushed Pineapple – juice and all
- 1 Cup Chopped Nuts
- 1 Cup Mini Marshmallows
Instructions:
Mix cool whip and pistachio pudding, stirring well. Combine all ingredients and stir well. Chill.
Strawberry Salad Brunch Recipe
- 1 (3 oz) Pkg. Raspberry jello
- 1 Cup Hot Water
- 1 Cup Crushed Pineapple, Drained
- 1 Pint Frozen Strawberries
- ½ Pint Sour Cream
Instructions:
Dissolve jello in hot water. Add fruit. Pour half of mixture into small square pan and chill until firm. Spread sour cream over firm jello. Pour remainder of mixture over sour cream. Chill until firm.
Heavenly Hash Salad Brunch Recipe
Combine and Blend:
- 1 Small Can Crushed Pineapple
- 4 or 5 Bananas, Sliced
- ½ Bag Colored Miniature Marshmallows
- ½ Cup Walnuts, Pecans or Slivered Almonds
- 1 Pint heavy Cream, Whipped
Instructions:
Combine fruit and cream mixture. Store, covered, in refrigerator.
Egg Casserole Brunch Recipe
- 2 Dozen Eggs (blended)
- ½ Pint Sour Cream
- 1 Stick Oleo
- 2 Cups Diced canned Tomatoes
- 2 lb. Crumbled Sausage
- 1 oz Diced Green Pepper
- 2 lbs. Diced Velvetta Cheese
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients place in 2 9×13 pans, leaving 1 inch expansion at top of pan. bake 325 degrees, 1 hour and 30 mins.
Grits Casserole Brunch Recipe
- 1 Cup Quick Cooking Grits
- 1 Stick Margarine or Butter
- 1 Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
- 2 Eggs
- Milk
- Garlic Powder to Taste
- 1 tsp. Salt
Instructions:
Cook grits in four cups of boiling water with salt until thick. Add butter, garlic, and cheese. Beat eggs in a 1-cup measure and add enough milk to make one cup liquid. Add to the grits mixture and mix well. Pour into a buttered dish and bake at 350 degrees until brown.
French Toast Brunch Recipe
- 4-6 Slices of Bread (Standard white, brioche, or sourdough)
- 2 Eggs
- ½ cup Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- Butter (for the pan)
Instructions:
Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a flat bowl. Dip each slice of bread into the mixture for 5 seconds per side. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Fry slices for 3 minutes per side until golden brown. Serve with syrup.
Quiche With Spinach, Ham or Bacon Brunch Recipe
- 1 Store-bought Pie Crust (Optional)
- 5 Eggs
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Meat: Cooked ham (cubed) or Bacon (crumbled)
- 1 cup Spinach (Fresh or thawed/squeezed dry)
- 1 cup Shredded Cheese (Cheddar or Swiss)
- Salt & Pepper
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). If using a crust, place it in a pie dish. If not, grease the dish well. Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Layer your meat, spinach, and cheese inside the dish. Pour the egg mixture over the top. Bake for 35 – 40 minutes until the center doesn’t jiggle. Let cool for 5 minutes.
