The Nordstrom Sale is coming up July 11 through August 6th and for most of us it can be very overwhelming! With so many brands, categories, and “trendy” options that may sell out within seconds, it’s hard to have a gameplan where you can get the most BANG for your buck. Instead of getting caught up in the hype and having gazillions of returns, I’m sharing how I make the most of the Nsale by focusing on basic wardrobe statements and investment pieces that can be used year over year. DENIM

Denim is where I like to spend my money. Designer and luxury denim is worth every penny and this sale is the time to get it at its best price! FRAME, Re/Done, MOTHER, and AG make beautiful, high-end, luxury jeans with a made-to-fit feel to them. For more budget friendly yet fantastic quality denim, I love Wit & Wisdom, Good American, and Madewell. These brands are consistently favorites of the NSale and offer styles that fit any body type.

I love these slightly distressed AG Ex-Boyfriend jeans that will be on sale for $156.99 (originally $235.00!?!) These Wit & Wisdom classic high rise bootcut jeans are known for their ability to mold and hold your lower body! The slim cut, retro flared hem, waist-tightening and booty-lifting design visually elongates your legs, pulls in your waist and lifts your booty!! If you don’t believe me, read the reviews!!

TOPS

Camisoles, timeless blouses, and classic button down shirts make great purchases for this year’s Nordstrom Sale. This short sleeve Clip Dot Ruffle Mock Neck top and this short sleeve tie neck blouse make perfect staples for any spring or summer wardrobe. Sleeveless blouses and camisoles like this Jazlyn Silk Mock-Neck Top and this FRAME striped v-neck silk cami are perfect for transitioning between seasons when paired under a blazer or cardigan!

BUTTON DOWN SHIRTS

Classic front button down shirts are trending in 2023. Back to the basics, this minimalist wardrobe staple is a must-have in every closet! From silk to denim, you can’t go wrong buying this style in the upcoming Nordstrom Sale.

BOTTOMS

Trousers, straight leg, and ankle pants are awesome buys during the sale. I love these Vince Camuto wide leg trousers and these wear-with-anything low rise stretch satin pants. JACKETS + CARDIGANS + COATS

With fall and winter approaching, now is a good time to purchase your jackets, cardigans and coats…oh, and of course, blazers are a must, too!

If you don’t have a rain jacket, this one by the fan-favorite brand ZELLA comes in black and olive or if you need even more options, this Cole Haan hooded rain coat comes in black, olive, blush pink and indigo!

JACKETS + COATS

CARDIGANS

Cardigans are great for transitioning between seasons; cropped cardigans are particularly IN this year. I have my eyes on this ultra light-weight Barefoot Dreams cardigan and this cropped collared cardigan to style this upcoming fall.

BLAZERS

Blazers are always go-to item of mine! I bought last year’s version of this Good American One-Button Blazer in the Nordstrom Sale and absolutely LOVE the way it fits.

DRESSES

Dresses are always a great seller during the Nordstrom Sale, most of these dresses are transitional and will take you from summer to fall to winter seamlessly! This Floral Ruffle Faux Wrap Midi Dress has won me over ~ it goes well with sandals, booties, and even cowgirl boots for a trendy western flair!

FAUX LEATHER

Faux leather outfits are definitely a popular choice for fashion-forward women of all ages this year. They can add a chic and edgy touch to any outfit and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. The Nordstrom Sale is a great way to cash in on some great savings for these items!

LOUNGE + ATHLEISURE

Loungewear and athleisure are always solid purchase choices. Zella has always been my go-to for leggings and activewear. The fit is perfect and always reliable and the material is flattering and high quality. I have been obsessed with these Compass Pocket Cargo Joggers by Zella and this is the lowest price you can get throughout the year. You can never go wrong with those cozy loungewear pieces you will wear daily around the house like this Barefoot Dreams loungewear shirt & pants set.

INTIMATES + SLEEPWEAR

I love Hanky Panky and I am so excited to try out the new Retro High Waisted Thong they have come out with. The NSale is the perfect time to replace or upgrade your strapless bra and treat yourself with a lush, comfy robe like this heavenly Barefoot Dreams one.

BOOTS + BOOTIES + SHOES

Every year I like to pick out some shoes that are either great investment pieces OR always in style! Either way, I am guaranteed to get great use out of them. These Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots fit both of those requirements. For a budget-friendly similar look, I’d choose these by Sam Edelman. 

The cult-favorite 42Gold Glee Platform Sneakers we have all been OBSESSED with are on the sale for $79 (originally $120)!!! Don’t you just LOVE the annual Nordstrom Sale?!

SANDALS + HEELS

I don’t typically buy many sandals or heels during the Nordstrom Sale because I usually start to prepare for the upcoming fall and winter seasons, but if I do, I stick to the same rules I have for boots and booties: timeless + high-quality! These sued pointed toe sandals by L’Agence come in black and cappuccino and are sure to hold their worth year over year.

HANDBAGS

Find a great deal on a handbag is always a win in my book! Whether they edge on the side of “trendy” like this metallic blush crossbody by Kurt Geiger London or more of a wardrobe staple like this Rebecca Minkoff top-handle satchel, they are a great way to amp-up your outfit or upgrade your closet with great savings during this years’ Nordstrom Sale.

ACCESSORIES

Cashmere scarves, classic hats, designer sunglasses, and jewelry are great choices to add to your collection while saving money. These CZ halo stud earrings sell out almost every time the anniversary Nordstrom Sale occurs so be sure to snag yours!

BEAUTY

If I had to choose only 5 items from the Nordstrom Sale, one would include the RIKI 10X Skinny Lighted Mirror – a bright LED mirror with magnifying and phone-clip attachments so you can do detailed looks or take selfies and videos—no filter needed. The lighting is AMAZING, worth every dollar, and makes for a great gift!!

The ever-beloved Dyson hair dryer and AirWrap curling iron are both also in the sale!

FOR THE HOME

Le Creuset, Viking, and Dyson are a few of the household names you’ll find in the home section of the Nordstrom Sale.

These 6 piece candle sets by Voluspa or this 4 piece Diptyque candle set make great host or house warming gifts!! Just break them up and wrap them individually for 4-6 different gifts. And if you don’t already own this Barefoot Dreams CozyChic throw blanket, you’re really missing out on the good life!! Buy one for yourself and a few extra for your family or friends because they make a great present – trust me, everyone will ask where you got it!
